If you’ve ever searched for free government grants in the past, you‘ve either found a bunch of useless information, a free trial” grant kit offer, or even some type of service that promised to get you a grant, when in reality, all they did was take your money. Some companies greedily play with your emotions, suck you into some shady deal, and leave you with practically nothing.

However, that’s why we want you to know from the beginning that we’re the complete opposite of those companies. In fact, any offer we present to you below is completely free. Yes, the real kind of free. None of them will ask for your credit card, or charge you after your “free trial” is up, we promise.

Although, if you do choose to work with them in the future, after we set up the relationship, obviously the companies will be charging you then. Besides, they are providing a helpful service to you, that ultimately will benefit you in the end. Don’t you think they deserve something in return for their help?

Our Exclusive Relationships Are The Key

We’ve set out to create exclusive relationships within the industry, researching many different companies and choosing organizations that we feel will help you achieve your goals. They all aren’t offers that allow you to receive a government grant, but we’ll make sure to explain why we recommend them, as well as why a grant doesn’t fit every particular situation.

Whether you’re looking for an education grant, a scholarship to go back to school, or are simply in debt, we’ll be glad to recommend an offer or program that will fit your unique situation.

While we do get paid for recommending you to the companies below, that never sways our decision of who to suggest. Our staff has spent an endless amount of hours, researching, reviewing and speaking with consumers about different services they’ve used that were most effective. Since we’ve put so much time into our dedicated information resource, don’t you think it’s cool we get rewarded, even if it’s only in a small way?

If you’re thinking about applying for a government grant, there are some things you need to know first, such as the types of grants that are available, and how to navigate the complex grant application process. Reading this short but informative article will help you prepare to apply for one of those elusive government grants.

One of the first things you need to know is what exactly a government grant is! Grants are money that you are given by the government. People think a lot of times that a grant is just like a gift, but it isn’t really the case. There are requirements you must meet in order to get your grant, and if you are caught providing false information or if you don’t meet the requirements, you’ll have to pay the grant back. If you can’t or don’t pay it back, the government can sue you or put you in prison.

If you are college-bound, you can apply for one of the many government-funded student aid grants. College is very expensive, and many otherwise capable individuals end up missing out on a quality education because they cannot afford it. Grant eligibility is determined by the student’s financial situation, and the amount you might get can vary. You might get enough to pay for part of your schooling, or you could get enough to pay for all of your college expenses. There are also some work study programs that you can take part in, all while you’re in school.

There are also business grants, which allow people to start a new business or enlarge an existing one. Business grants are typically alloted to certain segments of the population, such as women and minorities. Aside from student and business grants, there are some other ones, like foundation grants. These are given for humanitarian purposes, to people who want to improve their community or the environment as a whole. These grants most often go to relief groups.

Hopefully, this article has left you a little more informed about government grants and the processes behind them. Now, you’ll know how to figure out which kind of grant will best suit your needs, and you’ll go into the application process with eyes wide open.

Not everyone has the natural ability to write for grants- but don’t worry, because there are plenty of resources out there that can help. With a little research and practice, anyone can become a grant writing guru, and get that grant they are hoping for.

Here is some useful information that will (hopefully) help you sharpen your skills enough to write a winning grant proposal.

It’s vitally important to know what you’re writing about. The more you know about the subject on which you’re writing the grant, the better chance you have of getting it. Having general knowledge about grant writing helps, also. This doesn’t mean that you have to be an all-encompassing expert, but you should definitely be well-versed in the grant topic.

Proofread and edit, and then when you’re through, edit it again. It’s helpful to get a family member, a friend, or a colleague to read it, so that you can get ideas from another perspective. Their ideas and suggestions may help you write a better grant.

Go slowly, take your time. Don’t rush in writing your grant request, or filling in the accompanying paperwork. If you’re hurried and careless, the quality of your grant will suffer. In a lot of instances, grants are lost because of the poor quality of the grant request.

Being 100% truthful when you’re writing a grant can definitely help to make your grant application or proposal stand out in the crowd. The details are really important, and being honest with them can determine whether or not you get the grant.

Even with all the help and advice out there, some people still won’t be able to write an effective grant proposal. Thankfully, there are a lot of agencies and individuals that have expertise in grant writing, and know all the ins and outs of the process. If you’re having trouble, ask for help.

With the current economic crisis, the United States government is currently scrambling to get bailout money into the hands of American citizens and corporations. To claim your piece of this multi-billion dollar pie, you need what is commonly known as a government grant.

What is a government grant? A government grant is a sum of money given to you by the government that never has to be repaid. From small business to education, there are government grants available for virtually every purpose. While the application process may seem intimidating, with the right knowledge and secrets, your check will be in the mail in no time.

Start by looking on the internet or phonebook for government grant-related agencies. After you’ve pulled together a list of feasible agencies that offer grants specific to your needs, it’s your responsibility to get in contact and begin the application process.

For example, in order to obtain a small business grant, one needs to contact “state-run development agencies.” These agencies are connected directly to the Small Business Administration, insuring faster processing. In addition, the government sees small businesses as a source of community development as they offer employment and benefit the local economy. In fact, approval rates are usually higher with small business grants for these same reasons.

When applying for a government grant, you’ll be provided with training and relevant assistance, so your project can be accomplished to the fullest. Even though government grants aren’t loans and never have to be repaid, the government will still keep track of how the money is spent.

Loans are the alternative to government grants, but should be avoided if possible. Besides high interest rates and fees, loan payments my spiral out of control if the project were to slip up or falter. Moreover, depending on the loan, interest rates may fluctuate. A government grant, on the other hand, means that you can be confident in your personal financial security if the project takes a turn or fails; you won’t be responsible for any debt.

The hardest part of receiving a government grant is the paperwork. Filling out standard information forms is nothing compared to the formal project proposal. In most cases, the outcome of the application depends on the clarity and attractiveness of the proposal. If you’re serious about getting a government grant, consult with local industry experts in your area and ask them to review your proposal.

So, ready to take on the world of government grants? In this day in age, ask not what you can do for your country, but what your country can do for you. Get started today and apply for a government grant!

Who Can Apply for Government Grants?

Anyone who is a US citizen or resident can apply/receive a government grant. There are no checks on your credit, bankruptcy doesn’t matter, and no security deposit/co-signers are necessary to receive a government grant. If you pay your taxes, and are a US citizen/resident, you are entitled to grant money.

There are many types of grants and even loans available with a variety of requirements to qualify for. It is helpful to know, that when looking at the list of grants available, the requirements are listed alongside each grant, meaning you aren’t wasting any time applying for a grant you could never receive.

Government grants are available ranging from $500 to $500,000, sometimes even higher, and what makes them different than a loan, is that they need not be paid back! Unlike at the bank, government grant agencies don’t have the stringent requirements to get you approved. You tell the agency how much money you need, and the money is yours, interest free.

Now is the time to act, with over 1500 Federal Programs, 25000 State Programs, 20000 Scholarship Programs, and 30000 Private Foundations available, there is over 30 billion dollars in free government grant money available in 2009 waiting and required to be given away.
