Government student grants loans
The student finance system has been condemned by advocates of various other programs such as the government grant system. In the opinions of a number of outspoken media sources a great number of students having taken advantage of government loans are now feeling victimized. It seems that the biggest complaints are: being subjected to the requirements of monthly payments equivalent to at least 50% of their take-home pay, a hindsight that the students receiving the loans were not clearly informed prior to the finalization of the loan, the fact that you cannot write off student debt while declaring bankruptcy, garnished wages and more.

Ii have a question. For the last month I received calls from people identifying themselves as the US Government Grants. I have been chosen for a grant because my taxes are paid up and I have no criminal record. They give thier addrss as 200 Independence Building H, Washington DC. I usually cut them off after they reciet the address. All of of the people that make the calls sound foreign. IS this legit?
Thanks
Hi Jennifer – I would advise against anyone that calls you – while it is possible to receive a government grant, it’s up to you to find the opportunities, apply for the grant, complete the requirements, etc. I believe your intuition was correct, and it was probably a scam. All the best!
